Kenvue, the parent company of the Johnson’s Baby and Sempre Livre brands, has reportedly closed its industrial operations in Argentina. From November 2025, products previously manufactured in the country will be imported from Brazil and Colombia.

As part of the move, the Pilar plant, located in the Buenos Aires province and opened in 1969 as Johnson & Johnson’s first manufacturing facility in Latin America, will end production and will reportedly serve as a logistics and quality control center. The change marks the end of local production of products including Siempre Libre and Carefree sanitary pads, as well as the line of Johnson’s Baby liquids, which were previously exported to other regional countries.

The move is part of a global restructuring process announced by the company in 2024, which includes plans to reduce the global workforce by 4% and achieve annual savings of $350 million by 2026.
